WeBabyLog ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile app that helps families track their baby's activities and growth collaboratively. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the WeBabyLog mobile app (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and profile
Email address (required to create an account and log in), name, preferred language, measurement system (metric/imperial), profile photo/avatar if you upload one, and notification settings. Stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore (users collection).
2.2 Baby and family
Baby profile (name, birth date, gender, photo, creator), guardian relationships and roles, and guardian invite emails. Stored in babies, babyGuardians, and babyGuardianInvites collections.
2.3 Activity and log data
Activity type (feeding, sleep, diaper, notes, medicine, bath, temperature, doctor visit, milestone, etc.), timestamps, metadata you enter, and who created the activity. Stored in the activities collection.
2.4 Growth data
Baby ID, weight, height, head circumference, and date/time of measurement. Stored in growthRecords.
2.5 Reminders
Reminder type, time and repeat settings, enabled state, optional title and baby association, and owner. Stored in reminders.
2.6 Device and notifications
Push notification token (FCM) for activity-log and guardian-invite notifications. Stored on the user document as fcmToken.
2.7 Technical information
Firebase and the platform may collect device identifiers, OS and app version, and basic crash/usage data. We do not collect content from your device outside what you enter in the App.
3. How we use your information
We use it to provide and operate the service (accounts, sync, offline support), support collaboration between guardians (invites, shared access), send notifications (activity logs, invites, reminders), and improve reliability and security. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where applicable: performance of a contract (providing the App), legitimate interests (security, improvement), and consent where you choose optional features (e.g. notifications).
5. How we share your information
With guardians you invite (or who invite you) for the relevant baby data; with service providers (Firebase/Google, Apple/Google for distribution); and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not share baby or account data for advertising.
6. Storage and retention
Data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud), in the region configured for the project. We keep data while your account is active; we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable time after account closure, except where we must retain it for legal or operational reasons.
7. Children's privacy
The App is for use by adults (parents/guardians). We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Baby/child data is entered by adults and visible only to invited guardians. If you believe we have collected a child's data directly, contact us at sewah2012@gmail.com.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to or restrict processing, and export data. You can exercise many of these in the App (profile, reminders, babies) or by contacting us. You can control push and in-app notification preferences in device and app settings.
9. Security
We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules, and encrypted connections. No service is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for who you invite as guardians.
10. Third-party services
The App uses Firebase (Google), and Apple/Google for distribution and optional sign-in. Their privacy policies apply to their processing.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the App. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
